In partnership with CLEAN International and SayTrees this project aims to restore a Lake Batalakere in Bangalore, India, where rapid urbanization has impaired and degraded the region’s lakes. Restoration activities will include dewatering and desalting 15 acres of the lake, strengthening the embankment, creating inlets and outlets, and planting 500 trees nearby. The project aims to increase the lake’s water storage and groundwater recharge in order to meet the growing water needs.
