  • WASH Access Phase 2 Hyderabad

Expanding on WaterAid’s WASH Access Project, we are funding continuing improvements for water access, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure for 12,000 people in peri-urban Hyderabad. These efforts will include installing handwashing stations and drinking water, upgrading bio-methanation plants, constructing sanitation blocks, retrofitting toilets, and strengthening existing piped water infrastructure across 20 communities and 26 schools, early childcare centers, and healthcare facilities.

  • Mandhar Lake Restoration

Continuing our partnership with CLEAN International and SayTrees, we are supporting a project to improve the storage capacity of Mandhar Lake in Pune, India. Sedimentation in many of the region’s reservoirs has lowered their storage capacity, leading to growing water insecurity. This project will focus on dewatering and desilting 7 acres of the lake to increase water volume and groundwater recharge as part of a larger regional effort. 500 plants and trees will also be planted around the lake, enhancing the local biodiversity and providing recreational opportunities for the community.
