Alejandra (Alex) joined BEF in 2026 as the Business for Water Stewardship Program Coordinator.

She is most interested in engaging spaces that analyze the complex intersection between people and the environment to ensure sustained, equitable and intersectional practices across ecologies. Alex plays a critical role in supporting staff and partners to advance program goals. She is key to helping identify high-impact water stewardship projects and managing the project portfolio systems.

Prior to joining BEF, Alex worked in the global development sector conducting field research in Latin America and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to secure funding for clean water and renewable energy projects that served last-mile communities across Latin America, Africa, and SE Asia.
