Brayton Restoration
River Partners will restore 25-acres of land along the Sacramento River back to native habitat by planting 9,300 native trees, shrubs, grasses and other small plants. Once established, the habitat is expected to thrive in the natural climate and benefit the area by reducing the amount of water diverted from the river, improving water quality, and providing habitat for several animal species.
“The Brayton Restoration Project will deliver critical wildlife habitat along the Sacramento River, and water savings from converting an irrigated orchard property to native wildlands means that more water will remain in the channel creating its own ecological uplift. River Partners is thrilled to partner with Bonneville Environmental Foundation on this important project.” – Julie Rentner, President, River Partners
