Amy Sanchez Raaz is an accomplished executive leader with more than 20 years of national, state and local public sector and nonprofit experience. She has an extensive track record in collaborative leadership, strategic planning, public relations, organizational management, public engagement and coalition/partnership building. Raaz successfully re-designed and managed Xcel Energy’s political action committee in Colorado and six other states. Prior to her work at Xcel Energy she was Manager of Government Affairs for Denver International Airport where she worked closely with federal and municipal officials on policy issues affecting the maintenance and growth of one of the country’s busiest airports. She served as Policy Director to Denver City Councilwoman Deborah Ortega providing her unique insight to the development of public policy by the legislative body. She assisted the Councilwoman in planning and designing small and large group meetings in her district – strengthening her skills and understandings of the importance of public input to guiding policy impacts. Amy has served as a strategist for non-profits, elected officials and issue campaigns throughout the country including Congressman Ed Perlmutter and Former Congressman Rahm Emanuel at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She is a graduate of the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver and holds a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
