Sacramento Landscape Efficiency Project

Building off existing programs for households, in this project the Regional Water Authority will focus on upgrading landscape areas of commercial, industrial, institutional (CII) properties in Sacramento, CA, USA to reduce demand on the urban water supply for irrigation. They will explore a variety of options, including conversion of turfgrass to native and low water use plants and installation of high efficiency irrigation equipment. Working with local businesses and institutions, the project partners hope to match the right solution to the unique landscape of each property and will track the reduction of water use over time.

We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with local businesses and institutions to create thriving water wise landscapes.” – Amy Talbot, Water Efficiency Program Manager, Regional Water Authority
