West Fork Mill Creek Habitat Restoration

Mill Creek is a stream 28.4 miles southwest and south from its headwaters in West Chester Township of Butler County through central Hamilton County and the heart of Cincinnati into the Ohio River just west of downtown.

The Mill Creek Alliance and partners seek to mitigate a low-head dam and restore the stream channel to improve water quality, better manage flood waters, and connect the downstream and upstream aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

In addition to improving aquatic and terrestrial habitat health, a construction access road will be built with permeable materials and will provide long-term access for paddling, fishing, research, and other recreational activities.
